The key advantage of SCARAB compost turners is the belt drive of the drum. It allows up to 90% of the power and torque of the engine to be transmitted to the rotor (while the hydraulic system only 50%).
This design is not afraid of caked or heavy, moisture-saturated material.
The Scarab 20 compost turner is designed to process windrows with a base width of up to 6.70 m and a maximum height of up to 2.43 m. With standard tracks fitted, parallel heaps can be spaced approximately 1 meter apart. We recommend leaving approximately 9 meters of free space at the ends of each windrow to allow the machine turn freely.
The frame of the turner is welded from steel pipes of square section. Good weight distribution of the machine reduces stress and metal fatigue that build up during operation.
The machine can be mounted on a tracked or wheeled chassis upon customer request.
As an option, the machine can be equipped with sprinkler system and automatic fire extinguishing system.
